The South African National Institute of Rock Engineering (SANIRE) is an institute which actively promotes the South African rock engineering profession.
SANIRE promotes the advancement of the Rock Engineering discipline by encouraging and promoting interest and the development of education in Rock Engineering; professional practice and high ethical standards; networking, collaboration, and information exchange; and research areas.
SANIRE is a national group of the International Society of Rock Mechanics & Rock Engineering (ISRM).
